Introduction
"Mommy," said the little girl as her mother tucked her into the fluffy white comforter, "When's daddy going to get home?"
"Soon enough," her mother replied. "He's away on business. Maybe not for a few days."
"But I want him home now! I miss him!" she wined, her blue eyes glinting in the lamplight.
"Be patient, sweetie," her mother replied softly. Kissing her on her forehead she added, "Now, just rest your worried little head and maybe we can go to the park tomorrow."
"Okay!" the child squeaked as she scooted further into the covers and her mother shut the lamp off.
"Oh! Katie. How do you like the new doll Grammy bought for you?" her mother said, pausing in the doorway.
Katie paused before saying, "She kind of scares me."
Illuminated from the light of the doorway, a porcelain doll stood perched on the dresser. She had wide green eyes that seemed to glow like emeralds in the sun. She also had a green dress and white tights. Her curled brown hair was styled just the same as little girls did back when she was made. She was roughly 2 and a half feet tall; relatively big for a doll of that time period.
In Katie's room, this doll was only one of many displayed around the walls. But none of them gave Katie the chills like this one had.
"I'm sure you're just not used to her yet," her mom said with a smile. "She'll probably be your favorite doll by the end of the week."
Katie's mom bade her sweet dreams and shut the door behind her.
Now she was all by herself. The crickets could be heard from the open window and a small gust of wind blew the curtains foward.
Katie pulled the covers up closer to her chin. She had all of a sudden felt very anxious and nervous. She could do nothing but stare at the doll.
The figure remained stationary, over looking the rest of the room and unconvieniently positioned so she was also looking directly at Katie's bed.
She took a deep breath and tried to ignore the doll, but it was somehow not making her feel any better.
Soon, Katie covered her head fully with the blanket and tried to fall asleep.
Her thoughts drifted through her mind slowly, sailing her into sleep. But just as she was about to begin dreaming a small thump made her jump.
She whipped the covers off of her and immediatly stared at the dresser. The doll was no longer in sight.
Katie wimpered slightly, pulling the covers up to her chest. She craned her neck to see over her bed and onto the floor. In sight, she happened to see one of the doll's legs from the floor.
She must've fallen. The wind probably pushed her, Katie thought, trying to calm her pounding heart.
Slowly, she sunk herself back into bed and covered her head even more tightly than before. Her breathing became calm once more and she fell into a very difficult sleep before she opened her eyes in shock once more.
She could have sworn her name had just been said by a small voice.
Katie waited, not taking the covers off of her head.
Again. Her name was said again by a small, child-like voice. This time, she knew she wasn't imagining it.
She ripped the covers off of her head and turned the light on. To her horror, Katie saw the door that her mother had shut firmly had been cracked open revealing the dark hallway.
Katie threw her legs over the side of the bed and hopped down. She walked slowly towards the ajared door. She pushed the door open farther and stuck her head out.
A little down the hall, there was a silhouette. She couldn't clearly make out who it was. She walked out of her room and slowly made her way down the dark hallway.
As she got closer, a bad feeling slowly grew in her gut, urging her to go back to her room and hide under her covers. But she forged onward. She was about two yards away from the figure when she saw it's eyes. Bright green against the darkness of the surroundings.
"Will you be my friend," the doll asked.

My Character:
-- Name: Kristy Kaer
-- Age: 22
-- Gender: Female
-- Race: Human
-- Appearance:
-- Personality: On the outside, she's hot-headed, stubborn, arrogant, and has a certain disregard for the rules. As a result, she's been given the nickname "Kaer Bear" because of her "loving and caring persona." But once someone gets to understand her a little more, she can be quite friendly. She's got a good head on her shoulders but sometimes ignores her conscience. She's cool, collective, intellectual, and strong (mentally and physically).
She has plenty of courage and intellect, but sometimes she fools around too much getting her in trouble. She’s loyal, protective, stubborn, funny, athletic, etc... At times, Kristy can get really competetive and angry. When people don't try their best and give up, she feels that they cheated themselves. She hardly ever gives up or walks away from a good fight and is extremely optimistic.
-- Weapons: Two 9mm Desert Eagles, a standard military-issue knife, and a number of assorted hunting weapons.
-- Biography: When Kristy was just 4 years old, her father was killed in a horrible way. His brother and she found him gruesomely murdered by an unknown entity. Bent set on discovering who had killed him, her uncle raised her like a warrior much like the Winchesters.
As Kristy grew older, she continued with her studies and kept active all throughout high school. She led a double life; one as the captain of her school's soccer team and basketball team and the other as an evil-exterminating hunter.
In her junior year, Kristy met Adam Josefson. A football quarterback, class president, and an avid sailor. When they both graduated from school, they went to the same college and moved in together in their own small apartment.
On one fateful night, Kristy came home late from a hunting job to find her boyfriend brutally murdered in the same style that her father had been.
Ever since, Kristy's become cold and firm with other men she meets. In her own way, she grieves for her boyfriend and is afraid that anyone else who may get close to her will follow the same fate that the others have.
She has met up with Sam and Dean a few times on similar missions as rival hunters and will eventually become an ally in fighting evil. It is also a secret that Kristy has some feelings towards Dean, but she hates to admit it to herself; she afraid that even if she thinks about it, somehow he'll get hurt.
-- Likes: All kinds of sports, her car (a bright yellow Jeep Wrangler), reading, star gazing, writing, watching movies, listening to music, etc... And kicking evil ass!
-- Dislikes: Spiders and losing
-- Hobbies: Training and researching for her next job.
-- Theme Song: "Nobody's Home" by Avril Lavigne
